If you subscribe to a MM Brands newsletter, or ask us to send you information material, your personal data will be used to inform you about our products and services. If you buy a product from MM Brands and leave your details, for example by asking a question, we may inform you about other MM Brands products in the future.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or mailing list at any time, either by opting out or by contacting info@mmbrands.nl.

You create an account (and you shop in our webshop)

To place an order through our website, you can register yourself as a customer. You create an account, which is protected by a password and which is linked to your email address. You enter your details yourself and can change them yourself at any time by logging in to your account.

WHAT DATA

We process the following data:

First and last name;
Residential (delivery) address;
E-mails;
Telephone number;
IP address;
Which products you've viewed in the last 60 days;
Your account number/details
Which products you ordered;
Your last visit and login are also recorded.

We do not process payment details. Payments to our webshop are processed through a third party (Payment Service Provider, PSP). You can make secure payments in various ways via our PSP. You only enter your credit card or bank account details on these secure pages and then complete your order there. We only receive a message from the PSP if your payment has been received, but not your credit card or bank account number. If you choose to pay via Klarna, the above also applies, but in addition to that, we record your date of birth, which is necessary to authenticate your payment. This information is shared with Klarna.

CUSTOM AUDIENCE TARGETING

When you order products from us, and you have given us permission to do so, we may also use your email address for custom audience targeting via Facebook. MM Brands creates a custom audience group by uploading the email addresses of its customers into an advertising tool. This group can then be linked to a specific Facebook campaign: only these Facebook users will see the campaign. You shop in our webshop without a login/account

To place an order through our website, it is not necessary to register as a customer. You enter the information we need to be able to process your order and can also change this information yourself at any time.

HOW IS YOUR DATA PROTECTED?

MM Brands understands that keeping your personal data safe is very important. The data stored in our database is protected by the use of common electronic security techniques, in accordance with the applicable data security standards.

You will only be able to access your account if you enter your email address and password correctly. All passwords and sensitive information are protected by encryption and are never visible to us.

Our websites and web applications are secured by means of SSL certificates. You can recognize this by the green lock icon to the left of the URL in the address bar of your browser. All data you send and receive via our website is encrypted and cannot be read by third parties. The exchange of data between our websites and our processing partners also takes place by means of secure connections.

HOW LONG WILL YOUR DATA BE STORED?

MM Brands does not store your data any longer than is legally permitted and necessary for the purposes for which your data is processed. How long certain data is stored depends on the nature of the data and the purposes for which it is processed.

MVB applies the following retention periods:

Website visit data: 6 months;
Data relating to a complaint or question: up to 6 months after the complaint or question has been dealt with;
Data relating to the purchase of our products: 5 years (statutory limitation period);
Administrative data regarding the purchase of our products: 7 years (tax retention period)

In the event of unexpected legal proceedings, we will store your data for up to 6 months after the procedure has been definitively completed.

ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF YOUR DATA AND OTHER RIGHTS TO WHICH YOU ARE ENTITLED
Access, correction, restriction, deletion of your data

If you wish, MM Brands can provide you with an overview of your personal data that is known to us.

If the information turns out to be incorrect, or its retention is found to be in violation of applicable laws and regulations, we will correct this information or delete it at your request. Requests for access, correction, restriction, deletion or may be made on

any time by sending an email to info@mmbrands.nl. MM Brands will then delete or adjust your data within 4 weeks after confirmation. We will respond to your request within 4 weeks.

Object

If you do not agree with a certain processing of your data, you can object to the processing at any time by sending an e-mail to info@mmbrands.nl. We will respond to your objection as soon as possible after receiving your e-mail, but in any case within 4 weeks.

Data portability

You have the right to data portability. This means that you have the right to receive the personal data that you have provided to us in a usable form in order to transmit it to another controller. If you would like to receive your data in such a form, you can send an e-mail to info@mmbrands.nl. We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the format in which you would like to receive the data. We will respond to your request within 4 weeks. If the request is complex, we will inform you within 4 weeks that we need a maximum of 2 additional months to respond to your request. The deadline for responding to complex requests is therefore a maximum of 3 months.

Withdrawal of previously given consent

If you have given us permission to process your personal data, you can withdraw this consent at any time by sending an e-mail to info@mmbrands.nl. We will respond to and confirm your request regarding withdrawal of consent as soon as possible, but in any case within 4 weeks.

Lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority

If you have any concerns or concerns about the way we handle your Personal Data, including how we have processed your Personal Data, you can report this to a data protection authority that is competent to hear these complaints.
